Asking price vs. deal price — reading the market like a broker

Medians, outliers, and when a high ask is actually a fair one

Start from the median, not the ad

The live market report publishes per-category medians from ClearProp's own inventory. An outlier on either side deserves a reason, and the reason is usually in the aircraft's specifics: avionics panel, engine time, damage history.

What actually moves value

Panel (a Garmin G500 TXi install can add five figures of real value), engine program participation, complete logs, and damage-free history move price more than paint and interior. Ads that emphasize the cosmetic layer over the logs are usually pricing the cosmetic layer.

Making the offer

Anchor on the median, justify with specifics, leave room for the pre-buy. ClearProp's structured offers let you put all three in one place, with an escrow ledger for the deposit once you're past $10,000.
